A minor in History is a great way for students in other disciplines to continue to explore the field. Everything has a history. Whether you are focused on another area of the humanities or STEM, the study of history can help enhance your critical thinking skills and analysis and synthesis of information while setting you apart in your chosen discipline. To earn the minor, you must complete 15 semester hours with at least 9 semester hours at the 200 level or above and at least three courses taken at UIC. No more than 3 hours of HIST 499 may count toward this requirement.
