James Scott to give Osofsky Lecture

James C. Scott, the Sterling Professor of Political Science, Professor of Anthropology, and Director of the Agrarian Studies Program at Yale University, will be this year's Gilbert Osofsky Lecture.  Scott's lecture is entitled, "Two Cheers for Anarchy."  The lecture will be proceeded by the awarding of the Department of History's Goodman and Edinger Undergraduate Awards, as well as the Department's Shirlee Bill Teaching Award.

This year's Osofsky Lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm in Student Center East, room 302, followed by a reception. For more information, email lindavp@uic.edu.
