Julia is a first-year MAT student with a BA in History and Religious Studies from Lewis & Clark College. Her loci of study include: Black Feminist theory, housing organizing, and Chicago politics; Decolonization, settler-colonialism, and nation-state formation in Turkey and Palestine/Israel; and popular education and restorative justice. She previously served as Program Director at Hands of Peace, a 501(c)(3) working to advance justice, freedom, and equality with Palestinian, Israeli, and American youth.
