UIC Student History Conference 2024
The University of Illinois Chicago’s (UIC) Department of History and the History Graduate Society are pleased to announce the return of the Annual Student History Conference for the first time in over a decade.
This conference provides an opportunity for students, graduate and undergraduate, to present their original research, gain experience in public speaking, and attend professional development panels on academic and non-academic topics. The conference, with a theme of “Perspectives in History,” will offer both in-person and remote options and accept a broad range of project topics.
We welcome final submissions as papers and digital history projects. Undergraduate applicants are welcome to apply for a poster session. We also encourage community members and scholars to submit their expertise for the professional development panels.
Please complete the application form and attach a one-page abstract of your project and a current CV. The abstract should address an original argument based on primary source research. All attachments should be uploaded as PDF files.
